For the last 30+ years I have tried to buy a golf game, and I have a basement full of clubs to prove it. While we all know you can’t buy your way to scratch… you can certainly buy a better game with quality clubs that fit your strengths. Unfortunately, that takes a ton of testing, time, and money. While I have figured out how to do this without going totally broke and wrecking my marriage (please hold your applause until the end), I realize that most of you are too busy working or playing golf to spend the time it takes to find those gems.
On the other hand, you love a good deal … who doesn’t?!!
So here’s the plan: I’m happy to do the legwork for you and share my expertise. It’s all about value, whether its the latest and greatest or a time-tested model that’s in good used condition. You, in turn, can make this your “go-to” site for good golf gear deals. Let’s have some fun with it and develop a community where we help each other with leads on good solid deals and the occasional blockbuster bargain.
Am I asking you to abandon your PGA Professional? Of course not. Go get a good fitting from your pro so you have a good idea of what your needs are. Buy your clubs from the pro, then come here and buy backups… because we all know your clubs will behave better if they know they can be replaced at any time!
Or… Plan B… pay your pro for the fitting… come here to buy your clubs and enjoy the thrill of finding a good deal… then take the money you save and buy a series of lessons from your golf professional. Sounds like a win-win-win to me!
